Career Highlights: Broke 3 hours in the marathon. 2 nd place at the Wildflower Mountain Bike Sprint Triathlon in 2004. 3 rd place at the Wildflower Mountain Bike Sprint Triathlon in 2005. 3 rd place at the Catalina Triathlon in 2004. Acquiring multiple sponsorships as a result of my race results. Qualifying for Nationals each year I have competed.

Most Memorable Moment: I had always heard what an "event" the Wildflower Triathlon weekend was, but for one reason or another, I never did it. Well I finally did it in 2004 and what an "experience". To see as many cars, tents, campers, people, bikes, balloons, banners, etc. as I did was unlike anything I had ever seen before. It was like the "Cal Jam" concert back in the late '70's (or was it the early '80's?). I had heard that Wildflower was the second biggest triathlon in the country, and that it was called the "Woodstock of Triathlon", but this was beyond what I ever imagined. Once I got my camp sight set up, I rode down to registration, and saw the largest transition area with the most bikes I had ever seen in one place in my life. I was in awe the entire weekend. To clinch the fact that this was my best overall triathlon experience in over 15 years of racing, I topped it off with a 2 nd place finish in my age group in the Mountain Bike Sprint Tri. I couldn't wait for the 2005 Wildflower, and when it came, it was the same great overall experience. This time I was a year older, in a new age group, and had altered my training drastically. I didn't know what to expect, but I ended up having one of the best overall races of my life. Compared to the 2004 Wildflower, I was faster in each discipline (swim, T1, bike, T2, and run), took 4-1/2 minutes off my overall time, and finished 3 rd in my new age group. I love this triathlon stuff!!!

Favorite Races: Santa Barbara Sprint Triathlon, Wildflower Mountain Bike Sprint Triathlon, Pacific Grove Sprint Triathlon, Catalina Triathlon, Day at the Beach-Hermosa Beach Triathlon, Carpinteria Triathlon, Great Race of Agoura 5K Run.

Favorite Training Tips: Train harder on your weakness because that's where you'll be able to improve your time the most. Eat right. Have fun during your training and racing because life's too short to be serious all the time.
